Warner Bros. Brands

Content-Creating Divisions

The main difference to the logo package comes in the form of a sash.

An homage to the original Warner Bros. mark, the iconic sash has been added to four of WB’s content-creating division logos.

These are the only four Warner Bros. logos with a sash included.

Generic Warner Bros.

Sometimes you need to represent ALL of Warner Bros. with one iconic mark. The generic WB logo should always have the ‘Warner Bros.’ text underneath the shield except in unique approved scenarios.

All Other Divisions

All other groups’ logos have no sash over the shield, even if the group falls within one of the four content-creating divisions.

Brand Identity Elements

The Warner Bros. Shield

The new Warner Bros. shield pays homage to the visual heritage of the brand. A modern reinterpretation of the iconic 1948 Warner Bros. shield, the symbol’s lines and letters have been redrawn and optimized. Note that there are two versions of the shield: the solid shield and the outline shield.

The solid shield is rendered in a rich palette of a royal blue and gold. A subtle gradient effect is applied across the blue surface of the shield, giving the impression of a three-dimensional surface. This version of the shield should be used for corporate applications such as Warner Bros. stationery.

The outline shield uses a single color, shown here in the Warner Bros. blue, and may be used in a variety of applications that require flexibility of color and effects, such as for promotional items and advertising.

The symbol together with the specially designed wordmark and division names form the approved logo lockups for the Warner Bros. family of brands.

The relationship of the forms in the Warner Bros. shield is carefully considered; do not attempt to redraw the symbol or change the relationship of the elements. Always use the provided artwork files.

The Warner Bros. Wordmark

Shown here is the specially created wordmark for the “Warner Bros.” name. It is not a typeface and should never be recreated using fonts.

The wordmark together with the shield and the division names such as “Studios” form the approved logo lockups for the Warner Bros. family of brands.

The Warner Bros. wordmark should never appear on its own without the shield and
division name.

Do not attempt to change the font, the spacing or the alignment of the lettering. Always use the provided artwork files.

Letterforms

Shown here are the letterforms that are used to create the division names and department for all Warner Bros. lockups as shown in these guidelines.

Should additional artwork for other division names or department names be needed, use the letterforms shown here, which are included in the provided artwork templates, to set the division names.

Never reset the Warner Bros. name. The letterforms are provided for use only in division and department names.

Always use the provided letterforms, artwork, and template files.

The Warner Bros. Shield Clear Space and Minimum Size

To ensure the integrity and visibility of the Warner Bros. shield, it should be kept clear of competing text, images, or graphics. Shown here are the clear space and minimum size for the Warner Bros. shield.

Clear Space

The shield must be surrounded by an adequate clear space. The clear space on all sides is, at minimum, equal to quarter the height of the WB.

Minimum Size

The width of the shield should never appear smaller than .2″ when used in print materials, or 15 pixels in width when used in digital formats.

Logo Color Specifications

The use of color is an important aspect of the Warner Bros. brand identity system. There are two versions of the shield and specific color uses for the logos, depending on the background colors on which they are used.

The solid version of the shield should be used for corporate applications such as Warner Bros.-branded stationery. The solid shield has a gold WB and outline filled with a blue gradient, as specified here in the top two color-specification bars shown here. When using the solid version of the logo on light-colored backgrounds, the wordmark is Warner Bros. blue, as specified in the bottom color bar. When the solid shield is used on dark-colored backgrounds, the wordmark is white.

Color Specifications

Pantone® spot colors, as well as 4 / C process colors, are specified for print use. RGB and Hex specifications are for use with on-screen and web applications, and are provided for a consistent appearance across different media.
